North
& Central Pacific Beach Hopping Tour
9 days / 8 nights
Wondering
which of the dozens of beautiful Costa Rican beaches
is right
for you? Come with us on our new beach hopping tour, visiting the best sixteen
beaches for your future retirement plan. This unique tour will give you a
complete scope of all the pros and cons of each, each with its own particular
charm.
The Northern
Pacific is famous for its beaches, folklore, and wide sabanas. You may be
interested either to live in a first class beach resort or in laid back beaches
with only a couple of fisherman as neighbors. From the boiling mud pots of
Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, to the sun-drenched beaches, this trip offers
vacationers, investors, and retirees the opportunity of checking them all out
and getting all the necessary information to make knowledgeable decisions for
this important stage of your life. The US crisis has brought real estate
properties down, allowing great investment returns. Partial ownership, vacation
rental income producers and well established American property management
corporations are all here. In a prompt but relaxed pace, we will visit:
Hermosa, Coco, Ocotal and Pez Vela beaches on the Papagayo area, Conchal,
Flamingo, Potrero, Brasilito, Grande, Langosta and Tamarindo beaches on the
Santa Cruz area and Herradura, Jaco, Hermosa, Esterillos and Manuel Antonio
beaches on the Central Pacific.
DAY ONE - Arrival to Daniel Oduber International Airport at Liberia (LIR)

Pick up and drive towards your
hotel that is 20 minutes away at Hermosa Beach. Depending on your time of
arrival, which is either at noon or late at night in the main airlines, lunch
or dinner is included. Rest of the afternoon free at Bosque del Mar, a superb
beach front hotel.
DAY TWO – Rest day
After a great
buffet breakfast, the rest of the day is to relax and enjoy your hotel. We will
meet at Ginger’s or at your hotel to talk about the rest of our trip in the
evening.
DAY THREE - Hermosa, Coco, Ocotal & Velas
beaches.
Check out after
breakfast. At 9:30am we will check three wonderful properties at Hermosa: two
condo buildings and one of the many hillside mansions with amazing views.
Hermosa has become a residential beach for Americans because of it’s proximity
to the airport and is a very quiet and relaxed beach. At 11:00 we will continue
towards El Coco, 15 minutes away. Coco is a busy beach town with the best
supermarket chain, banks and lots of amenities. Visits will include El
Pacifico residential community and a good priced condo. Lunch is at Father
Rooster, a beach front restaurant at Ocotal Beach. Further visits are at Ocotal
and Pez Vela. We will program to finish around 3:00pm to head towards
Tamarindo, located farther south. Your hotel is Tamarindo
Diria, the best located beachfront hotel at Tamarindo, another busy, full of
life beach.
DAY FOUR - Tamarindo , Langosta, Conchal, Grande, Flamingo
& Potrero beaches.
After another
buffet breakfast we will visit Langosta beach with million dollar beach front
houses and many reduced priced condos. Afterwards, by your request, we will
check out two more properties that can be properties for rental purposes, or
partial ownership condos. We will continue towards Brasilito for lunch at
Camaron Dorado, great seafood and mariachi music with your feet in the sand.
Brasilito continues and afterwards Potrero, that is the service town of Flamingo, one of the most upscale beaches of Costa Rica with unbelievably huge rental
houses. Potrero is a good area to find reasonably priced properties. There is
an inside road that connects Potrero with El Coco called the “monkey trail”
where there is still land for long term investment. Afterwards, a visit to Playa
Conchal, considered the best beach resort of Costa Rica and a visit to one of
the condos. Continuing is Playa Grande, one of my favorite because the beach is
a national park and the middle of the beach, so protected area is assured. It
has a well established retired community and many lots still available.
DAY FIVE - Tamarindo – Jaco
Departure taking the new bridge
over the Tempisque river towards the Central Pacific. Total driving time will
be around four hours. A stop to visit the Marriot Los Suenos Resort before
arriving to Jaco. Check in at Club del Mar hotel. Free evening to enjoy the
many amenities of Jaco Beach.
The Central
Pacific beaches are a region that comprises a narrow coastal plain
hemmed hard up to the ocean by steep forest-clad mountains. Located about 110 km West of San José, this is traditionally the main destination of the people from Costa Rica's Capital San José to enjoy a few vacation days. A new highway connects the Central
Pacific to San Jose, reducing the driving time to the city to only 1 hour. The
shore is fringed by long, gray-sand beaches, being Jacó, the most developed
resort in the country, with complete infrastructure with hospital,
hardware-stores, supermarkets and endless restaurants, hotels, casinos, discos
and cabins, for any budget. Surfing beaches extend all the way
south to Dominical and, beyond, where the climate becomes increasingly humid,
noticeable in the lush tropical forests of Manuel Antonio National Park
DAY SIX – Jaco, Hermosa, Esterillos,
Manuel Antonio
Jaco is one hour away from Manuel Antonio,
but we will be taking a couple more hours to visit Hermosa Beach and Esterillos
properties, so arrival will be around noon. Check in at Hotel Parador, you will
love it! In the afternoon, a couple of visits, depending on your suggestions
are included. My suggestion is drinks at “El Avion”, where an American placed
the plane that crashed in Nicaragua during the Iran – contra war and that has
the best view of all, a very unique place.
DAY SEVEN – Free day or visit to Manuel Antonio National Park.
My
suggestion for today is visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park, a great
place to see monkeys and many other wildlife, relax at the beach or if you feel
like hiking, a walk up Punta Catedral to see the view.
DAY EIGHT - San Jose
Back to the city after check out at noon.
Total drive time is 3 hours. Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the many
activities San Jose has to offer.
DAY
NINE – Departure
Departure towards the International Juan Santamaria Airport for your flight back home.
